So I finally had to clean out around the bumper and the wheels on the Milan tonight after RallyX 2 weeks ago.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I was having an intermittent scraping and grinding sound in random situations, sounded brake related, which makes sense if you see my above recap.

So tonifit I took the rear wheels off to see what was going on. In between the rotor and the dust shield I found this now partially polished stone:

We’ll see if that fixes the problem when I drive to work tomorrow, I suspect that was it though. Then since I had the time and already dirty hands, I cleaned out under the bumper. Note, I went through $7 at the self wash and an auto wash with undercarriage wash. Look what I’ve been driving around with:

Haha, I’m not surprised. I didn’t really set out to clean it, but I was under there after finding the rock so I figured I might as well and that it would be easier with the wheel off lol.

The Montego is in much better shape than the Toadmaster, so it makes sense to proper clean it. I did hose the dust off mine, just so we wouldn’t get dirty every time we touched it.

Nope none yet. I need to try and work on the motor a bit to get it running nicer and then I can put more effort into the sale. Specialty forum posts, obscure cars on facebook, Hemmings, etc

Yeah at this point I’ll definitely get more for it in the spring. I was hoping to wrench on a rally car over the winter and I don’t have the cash for one or the garage space until the Montego goes though.

Yeah, I know how that goes. I got lucky last year selling the Apollo for a decent price the week before Labor Day.

Yeah I had the starting issue I had to work out before I could list it. I needed it to at least start, even if it still has the cooling issue.
